Ample space in the bunk (even a backpack).
Ample space in the bunk (even a backpack). 1 dedicated shower facility for female dorm - I was lucky not to have to wait to shower. Guests were mindful of the lights out timing!
Stayed on the top bunk - the ladder was a little hard to climb up and down with.

Home in Hokkaido
Home away from Home! This place was so quiet, relaxing and peaceful that it actually felt better and airy than my own flat. It was spotlessly clean including the showers and bathroom. Super comfy bed, pillow and duvet. It was spacious though those with large luggage or suitcases may have an issue as there's no space to put them. It felt so quiet at night and I had a wonderful sleep. The sandwich they offer for breakfast is super yummy. I only stayed one night and was so sad to leave. Location: Fantastic, Nijo rish maket and The TV tower including Odaio park are 10minutes walk. Ramen alley and the night life district is also another 15 minutes walk in opposite direction. You can easily walk to Sapporo station within 30minutes. The clock tower and government building are along the way. To explore around Sapporo this hostel has the best location.

What would you highlight about Mezamashi Sandwich
A very convenient place that offers cheap and delicious breakfast.
The location is very close to downtown and Odori Park. It's very convenient! If you're coming in by bus from New Chitose Airport, Mezamashi Sandwich is a short walk away from one of the bus stops. The breakfast is also really good for the discounted price of 500 yen for guests. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating as well, which improved the experience of checking in and check-out!
The shower rooms could be a little better. There aren't any shower mats to collect the water so it's easy to track water along the ground. The womens' dorm needed to be aired out a little more--because many of the guests leave their shoes out there, it smelled like socks. The common area is also a little small, but the restaurant lounge becomes available after 5 PM so it's okay to hang out there and eat your own food and snacks.

What would you highlight about Mezamashi Sandwich
Great Location, One of my best stays in Japan
Stayed in the mixed dorms, which has Big and comfortable beds (more like booths) with privacy curtains. Originally booked for 2 nights but extended my stay for another night (this is the booking for the additional night). Great location, walking distance from the subway, but be wary if you have a big luggage as you have to take the stairs if you are going out from the nearest exit. Near Lawson. Also near a Soup Curry restaurant (Soup Curry GARAKU)- highly recommended for dinner and drinks! Try their sandwiches, it's really filling and soo delicious! One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Japan. Can't wait to be back!
